ABOUT US

We are the Knights of the Lab table, a robotics team out of Gilbert Arizona at Gilbert Christian High School. Our core values are teamwork, innovation, and living in a Christ-like manner. We were founded in 2013, meaning that we are a veteran team with experience in both state and world competitions. Our team is composed of nine members this year with two sophomores, five juniors, and two seniors. We also have a sister team, the Carbo-Knights #19728, which was founded a few years ago along with our FRC team, the Knights of the Lab Table, founded last season.

ABOUT OUR OUTREACH

We focus on outreach with various programs throughout the year:

  • RezBotics: Taught coaches of eight newly established FTC teams on the Navajo Nation Reservation how to build and program the starter robot kit.
  • Az-Techs #23766: Provided necessary parts for this team established last season.
  • Mentorship: Mentored the Carbo-Knights #19728, teaching them design, build, and program their robot.
  • Competition Hosting: Hosted the first competition of the season.
  • Advertising Team: Advertised through a canned food drive, selling donuts to students, and hosting a parents' night out.
  • Senior Lumina: Senior members taught kids at Title 1 elementary schools about mini bots and STEM.

FIRST ROBOTICS

FIRST is a STEM organization, encouraging creativity, innovation, and teamwork with students from all around the world. Students are guided by adult coaches and mentors with real-world experience to develop engineering, teamwork, and leadership skills, and to build a strong foundation in STEM for the future. One of the primary core values of FIRST is Gracious Professionalism: teams being gracious, encouraging, kind, and helpful to one another, whether they win or lose.
